Saturday vigil planned for Madison Scott

VANDERHOOF — A vigil for Madison Scott is planned for tonight in Vanderhoof. The event is being planned with permission from the Scott family for 7:00 P.M. on the field of the local high school. The mayor is expected to speak at the vigil. Organizers also said indigenous drummers will be taking part.

Scott’s remains were found approximately one week ago, after she went missing more than a decade ago. Scott, 20, was camping with some friends when she was last seen at the lake party outside of Vanderhoof.

RCMP have released few details about the discovery of her remains other than to say they are searching the rural property where she was found.
