Lheidli T’enneh First Nation accepts pledge from PG Pediatricians
PRINCE GEORGE — Today the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation accepted a pledge from Prince George Pediatricians to acknowledge unceded ancestral lands.
Today, councillors from the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation accepted a pledge from Prince George Pediatricians of a respectful acknowledgement of Lheidli T’enneh Unceded Ancestral Lands. Councillor John West is a newly elected member of the Lheidli T’enneh council and for him, this acknowledgment is a positive step in the right direction of more people, groups and organizations recognizing the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh.
As a young Indigenous person, to be able to see that the health care system, which is usually iffy with Indigenous folks, that they are taking the steps to mend that bond slowly.
