PRINCE GEORGE — Rosenau Transport Prince has launched its first fully electric delivery in Prince George. Prince George is one of four communities across Canada that will have a 5-ton 100% electric delivery truck. This shift in how they deliver is part of a journey towards zero emissions.

With a fresh charge from a 400-volt charging system, it’s ready to go to work and make deliveries within the city.

The company purchased four Canadian-made Lion 6 100% electric five-ton trucks to add to their fleet. One of the EV five tons found a home here in Prince George. This zero-emission truck will replace a current diesel truck.

“ Its range of 300 kilometres…has roughly 335 horsepower. So it’s similar, if not the same, as our diesel-powered trucks and much fewer moving parts.”

Lyle Jensen

Terminal Manager, Rosenau Transport LTD Prince George

According to Rosenau, their new Electric truck saves up to 100 tons of greenhouse gas

emissions each year, equivalent to almost 10,000 litres of fossil fuel saved annually.

Purchasing this EV five-ton electric delivery truck electric vehicle is the first move of many toward going zero emission-free for the delivery company by 2045.
