First Wild About Outdoor event in PG takes place

PRINCE GEORGE — The Caledonia Nordic Ski Club was home to the Wild About Outdoors event on Saturday.
The Wild About Outdoor Learning Society ran the event with free activities, demos and information booths to celebrate being outdoors for health and wellness. Prince George Search and Rescue was there and activities were led by local experts and knowledge holders. This is the first year that the event has been held in Prince George and organizer Dr. Hart Banack said that it was well received by the community and hopes to make it an annual event.
“So this was our first year and we thought, we don’t know what this is going to be like. Let’s just take a shot. So this year we’re kind of small. We only started two months ago to organize this, so it’s pretty impressive that we were able to get all of this together in two months time.” – Dr. Hart Banack
