Evacuation alert issued for area 70km north of Fort St. James

PRINCE GEORGE — The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has issued an evacuation alert.
The alert covers the sparsely populated Nation Lakes Road area 70 kilometres north of Fort St James.
The alert has been prompted by a wildfire in the area. Residents are asked to gather essential items such as medications, valuable papers, keepsakes in case an evacuation order is issued. People are also advised to move pets and livestock to a safe area.
