Motor vehicle incident on Chief Lake Road causes power outage

PRINCE GEORGE — Update (6:52 a.m.): According to BC Hydro, power has been restored to all residents in the area.

Earlier: A power outage is affecting over 3,000 BC Hydro customers in the Prince George area Thursday morning.

According to BC Hydro, the outage began at 5:02 a.m. The outage is affecting residents in both the Chief Lake Road and Salmon Valley areas and was caused by a motor vehicle incident north of Westcreek Road.

A crew has been assigned to the outage though no word yet on when power will be restored.

CKPG News has reached out to the RCMP for details on the crash and will provide an update as soon as possible.
