CHICAGO — Prince George’s very own Jared Young hit his first home run in the major leagues Wednesday night in the Cubs 8-5 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies at famed Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Young hit his homer in the 3rd inning off Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola. Young batted DH last night and went 1-2.
Young was called up Tuesday from the minors where he was off to a blazing start to the season with the Cubs Triple-A club in Iowa hitting .326 with 13 home runs and 45 RBIs in just 52 games.
