Evacuation Order issued for Echo Lake area

UPDATE (9:14 A.M.) : The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako issue an evacuation alert for all lands, dwellings and roads on Highway 27 between Looncall Lake including Dog Creek residential subdivision, approximately 15 kilometers south of Fort St. James. The alert is next to the evacuation order that was issued for the vicinity of Echo Lake and Bearcub FSR.
EARLIER (8:00 a.m.) : PRINCE GEORGE — The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako issued an Evacuation Order Saturday evening (July 8) for all lands, structures, and roads located on either side of Highway 27 in the vicinity of Echo Lake and Bearcub FSR.
According to a news release, residents must leave the area immediatly and those who disregard the order do so at their own risk:
“The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako may be unable to assist anyone who remains in the Evacuation Order area,” Chair Mark Parker said.
