Artemis Gold taking precautionary measures due to wildfires

VANCOUVER — The increase in wildfires in our region has prompted Artemis Gold to take precautionary measures.
The company says it’s temporarily reduced the number of non-essential staff and contractors at its Blackwater Mine to approximately 20 personnel, including emergency response teams.
“The safety of our employees, contractors and the local and Indigenous communities is our top priority,” says CEO Steven Dean. “We will continue to actively monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary.”
The mine is located approximately 160 kilometres southwest of Prince George.
