PRINCE GEORGE – Since April, over 900 wildfires have scorched over 1.15 million hectares of land, with over 300 fires still burning, most of which started over the weekend.
The Prince George and Northwest Fire Centres have witnessed the most intense activity, prompting evacuation alerts and orders primarily affecting communities in those areas.
BC Wildfires managed to control the three nearest fires closest to Prince George.
