Nilkitkwa and West Creek Wildfires spark evacuation orders and alerts

An evacuation order was issued Thursday night by Lake Babine Nation, the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako, and Recreation Sites and Trails BC for the Nilkitkwa Wildfire. The order includes all properties, lands, dwellings, and roads surrounding Nilkitkwa Lake including Fort Babine and Nilkitkwa Forest Service Rd. and including Bairnsfather Creek Provincial Park.
An Evacuation Alert was also issued by Tl’azt’en Nation and the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako due to the West Creek Wildfire, for all lands and properties in the area South of Trembleur Lake, including the Tachie River and a portion of the north shore .
