SD57 board chair taking a run at provincial politics

PRINCE GEORGE — School District 57 Board of Education Chair Rachael Weber appears to be taking a stab at provincial politics.

Weber has launched a Facebook page indicating she plans to run for the Conservative Party of BC in the Prince George-Mackenzie riding.

The party has yet to confirm she has the nomination on its web page though on her Facebook page, she encourages people to take out a party membership to help her in her bid.

On her Facebook page, she weighs in on a number of issues, including parental rights, the homelessness situation in Prince George and infrastructure needs.

The next provincial election is scheduled for October 19, 2024. CKPG News has reached out to Weber for comment but she hasn’t responded.
