RCMP investigate suspicious death at North Star Inn

PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties are investigating the suspicious death of a woman.

Prince George RCMP say they discovered the female’s body on Monday July 17 at the North Star Inn, located on the 1500-block of 15th Avenue.

“The Serious Crime Unit was called in and the death was deemed suspicious,” says the RCMP. “Forensic Identification resources and the BC Coroners Service are engaged in this matter. No further information is being released at this time.”

The body was discovered one day prior to a fatal home invasion involving another woman on the 2100 block of Upland Street.

Police believe this was a targeted event and do not believe there to be further risk to the public. RCMP told CKPG News that they have no information that indicates these two cases are related.
