1697s Rugby Club looks to grow game after five return from Provincial Regional Championships

PRINCE GEORGE — Kids gathered at College Heights Secondary training and practicing the sport of Rugby. 5 of them recently returned from the Provincial Regional Championships at UBC. An unforgettable experience in the eyes of Keira Gordon, Madeline Hesse, Carmen Aubichon, Loïc Gordon, and Jesse Bomford.

With the game of Rugby still growing here in Northern BC, the 5 had to play for the Okanagan regional teams, traveling down and representing the North. Now the goal is to one day have a Prince George team that can travel down and face other cities. Something that the 1697’s Rugby Club is trying to make happen.
