Jehovah’s Witnesses Convention returning to Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — If you drive by the CN Centre next week, expect to see lots of vehicles and campers outside, as the Jehovah’s Witness convention is returning to Prince George.

Next weekend, the CN Centre will be home to the Jehovah’s Witness convention and this will be the first in-person convention since the Covid-19 pandemic started in 2020. Prince George is no stranger to the convention, as JW conventions have been held in Prince George since 1964.

“We’re hoping more will attend from the community because we’re inviting everyone in the public to attend as well if they’d like to come. So it’s not a recruiting event. It’s not one where we take collections or ask for money or anything like that. We’re making it open to the public and it’s really an educational event.” – Stefan Freudentheil, Prince George Regional, Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses

Over 2000 people are expected to attend this year’s convention. The theme of this year’s event is “Exercise Patience”. All congregations north of Williams Lake will be attending.
