Pilot project unveils walking signs showcasing 15-Minute radius attractions for residents

PRINCE GEORGE – Early, this walking sign started appearing around the city to encourage residents to stroll and explore. The signs are part of a program for people to leave their vehicles and walk.

These “stroll to explore” started popping up in city areas where residents can walk to key spots in a 15-minutes. The idea was born over a year ago from the Fraser Basin Council youth cohort program.

The signs are strategically placed in some of the major neighbourhoods.

Six signs show what they can explore within a 15-minute walking radius.
