Jul 31, 2023 | 3:57 PM

PRINCE GEORGE – The BC Land Matching program has connected hundreds of aspiring farmers seeking to expand their agriculture endeavours for several years. The program has become more vital as more people retire from the agricultural industry.

People come to us with big dreams, as one does when you decide to embark in agriculture. And then, we help refine their dreams and give them the laneways to a sustainable business. So we have business, mentorship, and entrepreneurial readiness.

Andrews Adams

Owner Hope Farm Organics and Landmatcher with BC Young Agrarians

Andrew Adams, the owner of Hope Farm Organics, grows a range of produce from tomatoes to cider apples. On and off the field, he mentors new food producers through the Young Agrarians program.

According to Adams, there is a decline in the number of young people entering agriculture, but the program supports all-age farmers.

The matching program aims to build on food security.
