How to make sure your home is ‘FireSmart’

There have been many stories and images shared in recent years of some homes being spared in the event of a wildfire in a residential neighbourhood, often it’s the little things that can help your home stay safe. We caught up with Amanda Reynolds from FireSmart BC to give some real life examples.
To put your home through an assessment you can use the online tool here, as always it’s better to be safe than sorry. Your assessment starts with how fire-resistant your roof may be, how clean your gutters are and if your siding is fire resistant.
