Prince George baseball player heading to Kentucky on athletic scholarship
PRINCE GEORGE — Troy Todoruk first got into baseball at a young age, with both his parents playing softball and baseball. Fast forward to 2023 and Todoruk is off the state of Kentucky to play baseball for the Campbellsville University Tigers.
After being scouted online at Elite Baseball Development here in Prince George, the division one-ranked school in the NAIA, reached out about Troy. After some discussions with coaches and the school, the 18-year-old was rewarded with a huge athletic scholarship to go play for the Tigers.
Todoruk plans on sticking with his natural position, which is 3rd base. He says being on the hot corner might be a bit intimidating with the metal bats. But he’s looking forward to making an impact at a higher level of play.
