PRINCE GEORGE — It’s the day fans of classic rock have been waiting for.

The three-day Cariboo Rocks the North music festival kicks off Friday night at Prince George’s Exhibition Park, next to CN Centre.

On Friday August 11, Teaze, Streetheart, and Honeymoon Suite will play. On Saturday, August 12, Powder Blues Band, Nick Gilder, Chilliwack, and April Wine will hit the stage. And Sunday, August 13 will feature Lee Aaron, Teenage Head, Sass Jordan, and Kim Mitchell.

Tickets are available at www.ticketsnorth.ca or by calling 1-888-293-6613.

Glen Mikkelsen, Manager of Entertainment, CN Centre, says there’s been some changes this year.

“We looked at people’s comments and suggestions about last year and one of their biggest concerns was looking into the sunshine, which is great. We had lots of sunshine. So we’ve moved the stage position back to where it was in 2018 and 2019, which is on the south side of the gymnastics club, and that will help rectify people’s concerns about looking at the sunshine and we’re making some other tweaks to the setup.”
