Prince George woman takes on Tour de Cure despite cancer resurgence
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George local Ariadne Holness De Hiller is partaking in this year’s Tour de Cure, but it is going to look a bit different for her.
As Ariadne began her training, she received a new diagnosis that her cancer was having a resurgence. Ariadne has previously received treatment for endometrial cancer last year and was able to partake in the 2022 Tour de Cure with the Wheelin’ Warriors of the North.
She’s currently receiving immunotherapy treatment in Prince George, and her doctors have recommended that she stay close to home throughout her treatment, so she’s decided to adjust her ride. Instead of riding 200 kilometres over the course of 2 days in the Fraser Valley, she’ll be riding the distance over 2 weeks in Prince George.
