Resource Shuffle: BC Wildfires adjusts strategy as Prince George Fire Centre quiets down

PRINCE GEORGE – A few weeks back, the Prince George Fire Centre was dealing with a pretty active fire load, keeping those firefighting crews on their toes.

BC Wildfires say things have calmed down a bit in the Prince George Fire Centre lately, but the action has shifted south, especially around the Kamloops Fire Centre.

BC Wildfires has moved some resources from Prince George Fire Centre to other parts of the province that are seeing similar kinds of activity PG Fire Centre was dealing with.

” We maintain a level so we’re able to respond to initial attack requirements as well as maintaining enough resources to continuously patrol and monitor existing incidents.”
