Volunteer fire departments around the region are crucial for fire protection, without them many rural areas would be left without any kind of fire protection. This week the Pineview Volunteer Fire Department celebrated a big milestone, 50 years of being an active fire hall, Fire Chief Lyle Wood stopped by to share a few memories about the big year.
