PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings look to start their 2023 season off with a bang as they open up on the road against a team that ended their season just five months ago. The Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

With 16 new faces on the opening roster, there’s plenty of turnover from last year’s squad however a couple of returning players including Defenseman Kai Greaves who knows the team has plenty of positives to bring to the Shaw Centre.

Another one of those familiar faces on the roster is Luca Primerano. The 18-year-old is trying to be a leader on and off the ice this year. Even though it’s only his second season in the BCHL he looks to take the next step in his game.

A question the Spruce Kings have this year is goaltending. With two new faces between the pipes in Marcus Ouellet and Ryan Sanborn. Head Coach Alex Evin does have a plan with the two netminders but is confident that whoever starts will turn in a great performance

The game against Salmon Arm will be on Saturday at 6:00 P.M. and you catch all the action on 993 Rewind Radio.
