Kiel Giddens chosen as BC United candidate for Prince George-Mackenzie
PRINCE GEORGE — Kiel Giddens has been announced as the BC United candidate for the riding of Prince George-Mackenzie in anticipation of the next provincial election.
Giddens was formerly the president of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce and has worked at the legislature in Victoria as a staffer.
In March 2023, MLA Mike Morris announced that he would not be running in the next provincial election, and the search was underway to find a candidate. Morris said that in Giddens, the party has a candidate “with a unique blend of perspective and experience.”
In a statement, BC United leader Kevin Falcon said that “Giddens’ deep community ties and extensive private sector involvement make him the perfect choice to represent Prince George-Mackenzie.”
