Cougars Heidt & Young return to team after successful stint in NHL Camps

PRINCE GEORGE — After the Cougars scored 13 goals in the first two games of the season they’ll get even more firepower this weekend as both Ty Young and Riley Heidt joined the team in practice today.

Both players were attending NHL Training Camps. Heidt even got a chance to suit up in a pre-season game for the Minnesota Wild. The Cougars forward recorded two assists before being sent back to Prince George.

For Young, not only did he head to Vancouver Canucks camp. He returned having put pen to paper on an NHL entry-level deal. Officially making him part of the organisation. A pretty special feeling for the Cougars netminder.

Now the focus is back on the Cougars where the team is set for big things. With Koehen Zimmer and possibly Ethan Samson set to return from their NHL camps in the coming days or weeks.
