Two killed, four injured in Helicopter crash near Purden Lake

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: Emergency Health Services confirm that four people were transported to hospital this morning’s helicopter crash. . Six ambulances and a supervisor responded.

Earlier: North District RCMP confirm first responders are en route to an aviation incident by Purden Ski Hill Road.

Mounties confirm it was a helicopter crash with multiple people on board. The call came in at 7:41 a.m.

“Our initial information indicates there were multiple people on board the aircraft. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown. We are asking that anyone driving past that area today remember to give emergency crews plenty of room to work if they are on the highway, by slowing down and moving over and to obey flagger signals,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
