PRINCE GEORGE – Every team has their super fan and the Spruce Kings are no different. Everyone at Kopar Arena can point Ginny Parsons out of a crowd in seconds, but that comes as no suprise when you’ve been around the arena for 50 years. All you have to do is look in Section 7, Row C, Seat 13.

“My husband and I, after the girls left, got season tickets. I’ve been to them for 50 years now, since 1972.”

– Ginny Parsons, long-time Spruce Kings fan

Parsons has missed 4 total games in 50 years, and says that if she isn’t at the game, all of the people in her section call her to make sure she’s okay.

Parsons has been involved with the team in a couple different ways, so when she said she was a billet for the Spruce Kings a few years ago, it showed just how serious she is about the team.

“I did it for two years. And I think they needed what they called a short term house. Like one could stay no longer than three days, four days.”

She only had one rule with the boys that would come stay with her.

“I don’t buy your junk food.”

You can be expecting to see Parsons and her friends at every home game this season
