The Prince George Cougars announced Hudson Thornton as captain

PRINCE GEORGE—The Prince George Cougars announced today that defenceman Hudson Thornton has been named the 29^th captain. The 20 year-old is entering his fourth and final season with Prince George in the Western Hockey League.

It’s an absolute honour. You look in our room and there are so many good leaders and so many guys who could have worn the C this year. It’s a privilege to wear it this year, an honour I don’t take lightly, and something I’m looking forward to.

Captian Hudson Thorton

Captian Thorton will play his first game as team captain tonight when the Cougars visit the Victoria Royals at 7:00pm. The Royals come into this game looking for their first win of the season while the Cougars sit at 1-1 after splitting their first two games against Tri-City Americans.
