Cougars complete weekend sweep of Royals

VICTORIA — The Prince George Cougars improved their record to 3-1 following a 5-3 come-from-behind victory over the Victoria Royals Saturday night.

The Cougars overcame a 2-0 deficit to claim victory, including the game winner by Carlin Dezainde at the 9:31 mark of the third period. Dezainde added an empty netter with 48 seconds left on the clock to secure the victory.

Among the Cougars scorers was Terik Parascak with his league leading 8th of the year. He also leads the WHL in scoring with 12 points. The Cougars won the series opener Friday night between the two teams, 11-2.

The Cougars are back on home ice Tuesday when they host the Kelowna Rockets.
