Cougars beat Rockets for third win in a row
PRINCE GEORGE — Riley Heidt scored his fifth goal of the season and game-winning goal at the 18:29 mark of the third period to help lead the Prince George Cougars to a 3-2 victory over the visiting Kelowna Rockets at CN Centre Tuesday night.
Koehn Ziemmer also scored his first goal of the year and added an assist in his first game of the season after spending time at the LA Kings training camp.
Ondrej Becher had the other Cougar goal, his third of the season at the 13:26 mark of the second period.
Andrew Cristall and Hiroki Gojsic had the goals for Kelowna. The Cougars outshot the Rockets 34-19 with Ty Young getting the win between the pipes.
