A strong comeback continues the winning streak
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars bounced back to secure a 6-4 victory over the Wenatchee Wild. With this win, they have won five consecutive games and cemented their position at the top of the WHL standings. Their current record stands at an impressive 6-1-0-0.
In the memorable win, Zac Funk led the team with five points (two goals, three assists). Terik Parascak also contributed, adding two goals to his impressive 12-season tally. In the third period, Ondrej Becher scored a goal from Zac Funk’s pass, giving the Cougars a 5-4 lead and exciting the CN Centre crowd. Viliam Kmec then scored at 13:51 to make it 6-3. Wenatchee Wild players Briley Wood, Conor Geekie, and Kenta Isogai (who scored two goals) contributed to the team’s score.
The teams will compete against each other tonight (Oct 7) at 6 p.m. at the CN Centre, Prince George, BC.
