130 Lomak employees secure ‘significant’ wage increases by ratifying 5-year deal
PRINCE GEORGE — Employees at Lomak Bulk Carriers Corp. in Prince George have ratified a five-year collective agreement providing them with what their union is calling “significant wage increases.”
Approximately 130 employees are represented by Transport, Marine, Warehousing, and Allied Workers Union, CLAC Local 66.
“The new contract provides employees with wage increases ranging from six to nine per cent in the first year,” says CLAC.
“Thereafter, employees will receive significant increases for the remainder of the contract. The agreement also provides employees with increases to employer contributions to their pension plan, gear allowances and vacation.”
