A trial date has been set for the three Prince George RCMP officers accused of obstruction of justice in the death of an Indigenous man.
Sergeant Bayani Cruz and constables Arthur Dalman and Clarence MacDonald were charged earlier this year after 35-year-old Dale Culver died while in police custody in Prince George in 2017.
The three officers have pleaded not guilty and the BC Prosecution Service says their trial will begin in provincial court on May 13th of next year.
Two other Prince George constables — Paul Ste-Marie and Jean Francois Monette — pleaded not guilty to manslaughter in June and are scheduled to return to court in January. (The Canadian Press)
