BC United Party announce Bond seeking re-election; unveils northern transportation strategy
PRINCE GEORGE — BC United Party Leader Kevin Falcon was in Prince George Friday at Northern Lights Estate Winery for a pair of announcements.
The first was to announce that Prince George-Valemount MLA and Cariboo North MLA Coralee Oakes will both be seeking re-election next year. Falcon was also joined by Prince George-Mackenzie candidate Kiel Giddens and Nechako-Lakes candidate Shane Brienen.
Falcon also unveiled his party’s ‘Northern Transportation Strategy’ which focuses on infrastructure needs in the north – including expanding the Cariboo Connector Program, building more rest stops, enhancing safety and efficiency on key highways, focusing on long-term infrastructure safety and resiliency and fast tracking a new Taylor Bridge for the Peace region.
