CNC instructor running for B.C. Conservative Party
PRINCE GEORGE— Sheldon Clare has announced he is running for MLA in Prince George -North Cariboo for the B.C. Conservative party, in the next provincial election.
Sheldon currently teaches Military History at the College of New Caledonia and served as a contract negotiator for the faculty. He has also served six terms as the chair of the provincial Bargaining Co-ordination Committee advocating for educators across the province.
An army reserve officer, Sheldon has spent over seven years instructing cadets and helped create the establishment of a reserve infantry unit in Prince George.
Sheldon ran unsuccessfully as an independent in the 2015 federal election in Cariboo-Prince George, and refers to himself as a defender of Canadian values.
