PRINCE GEORGE — The BC Prosecution Service announced Friday (Oct.27) that no charges have been approved against two Prince George RCMP officers involved in the arrest of an individual who fled from police after allegations of a break-and-enter on July 30 of 2020 near Prince George.
The incident occurred in a parking lot in the 1400 block of the Old Cariboo Highway when three people exited a truck and fled on foot.
Two women were located separately a short distance away while the man was taken into custody with the help of a police service dog.
The IIO reported at the time that the man had suffered serious injuries though the BC Prosecution Service has ruled that the available evidence does not meet their charge assessment standard.
