PRINCE GEORGE – The Canada Beer Cup is a national competition celebrating independently owned and operated breweries across Canada. Deadfall Brewing, located in Prince George, has been hoisted up for brewing one of the best beers in Canada.

Since that big win, that little brewery tucked away in a strip mall on Nicholson Street has been making waves. Craft beer lovers from all over the country are calling Deadfall Brewing Company, eager to get a taste of their award-winning Basal Brown Ale.

“We won basically the Stanley Cup of beer in Canada for our Basal Brown ale, which is one of our core beers. It’s one of the six that we brew all the time.”

Fresh off a win for best IPA at the B.C. Beer Awards. The five-member team at Deadfall continues to focus on making beers that locals can’t get enough of.

Several years ago, Erin and Brandon began making home brews to save money.

“Well, production-wise, I mean, we’re only doing 700 litres at a time. I don’t have to worry about doing deliveries next week because we’re sold out.”

Deadfall Brewing Company is over a year old in business. In the meantime, the husband and wife brewing team plan to sit back for a moment and savour the wins.
