Blizzard Speed Skating hosts BC Cup

PRINCE GEORGE— The Prince George Blizzards Speed Skating Club will be welcoming some of the best skaters in the province this weekend (Nov.17-19) for Speed Skating B.C.’s Academy and B.C. Cup at Kin 1 beside the CN Centre.

The Academy is happening today and will be a full day of training, learning and team building for all athletes, coaches, and officials in preparation for B.C. Cup and upcoming competitions throughout the province and country.

Racing kicks off on Saturday, Local skaters to watch for on the ice are Megan Vansickle, Eli Bernard, and Pareesa Jones who will be racing against the best in the province.

This event will be an opportunity for the skaters to hone their skills for the 2024 BC Winter Games in Lhtako Quesnel and the BC Short Track Provincials in Abbotsford,
