Trailer fire on Old Summit Lake Road causes $80K in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — A barn fire on the 7000-block of Old Summit Lake Road Friday morning caused $80,000 in damages.

Prince George Fire Rescue responded to the blaze at approximately 11:26 a.m. with first arriving crews reporting heavy smoke coming from the opening of a barn.

“The crews made entry into the structure where they were able to confine the flames to a 30 ft Travel Trailer. Once the trailer was clear of any other structures the trailer was extinguished,” says the City of Prince George.

The cause of the fire is suspected to be electrical and there are no reported injuries.
