Miracle on Third kicks off on Wednesday

PRINCE GEORGE — Wednesday, November 29 is the 5th annual Miracle on Third fundraiser, a Pattison Media fundraiser where we partner with a different charity or non-for-profit organization and this year, we are supporting Positive Living North.

“The mission of positive living north is to, you know, to support those in the community that live with HIV and hepatitis C, but also to prevent further infections of HIV and hepatitis C through our prevention programs, through our education programs and through harm reduction.” – Alexandria West, Executive Director, Positive Living North

For Positive Living North, education is a key component of helping reduce transmission.

“The education department is a huge portion of our organization where we are aiming to prevent further transmission, but with also within our education department, we have a really cool aspect. We have our program called the Frontline Warriors, which are people living with HIV who come with us to present different educational interventions with a lived experience.” – Alexandria West, Executive Director, Positive Living North

West hopes that Miracle on Third will give the community the opportunity to learn more about Positive Living North.

“Lots of community members have really supported our programs and departments, and it’s been a really beautiful thing to see. So I’m really excited for Miracle on Third to be able to connect with the community again and to, you know, people learn a little bit more about us because sometimes there are some misconceptions about what we might be or, you know, what we support.” – Alexandria West, Executive Director, Positive Living North

On Wednesday, November 29, from 7am to 6pm, 101.3 The River, 993 REWIND Radio and CKPG TV will be LIVE from our temporary drive thru beside our building at 1810 3rd Ave. All donations raised stay right here in our community.
