Heidt snubbed from the Canada’s World Junior Selection
PRINCE GEORGE—The Canada’s World Junior Team Selection Camp has been announced with a significant lack of Cougars representation.
Riley Heidt is the current point leader for the WHL & CHL with 53 points so far in the season and 150 points in 94 games over the last two season.
The selection consists of 30 players, including four goalies, 10 defencemen, and 16 forwards. Each player will compete for a chance to wear the Maple Leaf at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship, December 26 – January 5, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The invitees are not without any Northern B.C. representation as defenceman Tanner Molendyk is part of the camp. McBride born Molendyk has 27 points so far in the season playing for the Saskatoon Blades.
