Protest planned this Sunday calling for a ceasefire in Gaza
PRINCE GEORGE— On Sunday, protesters will gather on Ospika near the CN Centre as part of a national protest calling for a ceasefire in the Israel/Palestine conflict.
Organizers of the Ceasefire Now protest point to the bombing of an Anglican Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City killing hundreds of people. They are calling the attack an atrocity and condemn the targeting of innocent Palestinian and Israeli civilians.
Organizers go on to further state that “As hostilities escalate, they are fuelling a rise of Anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian racism, Islamophobia, and antisemitism in Canada–which we also unequivocally condemn.”
The gathering will happen on December 17, from 1-3 p.m.
