PRINCE GEORGE—Goaltender Charlie Zolin (’04) has been added to the Prince George Spruce Kings.

The Greenwich, Connecticut product showcased his prowess in the Alberta Junior Hockey League(AJHL) when he started 27 of the 33 games for his old team Camrose Kodiaks.

“Charlie is an athletic, competitive goaltender, and we are confident he will come in and help solidify the goaltending position,” said Hawes. “He’s excited for this opportunity to join our program and to come to a great league.”

Zolin stands at 6’1″ and weighs 181-pounds. He currently has posted a goals against average(GAA) of 3.32 this season with a save percantage(SV%) of .892. Last year, the 2004-borngoalie played 20 games with the Blackfalds Bulldogs in the AJHL, where he finished the year with a GAA of 2.99 and a .898 SV%.

“To this point in the season, the team has underachieved. As a group and individually things need to be better. I am working to improve the group at every position,” said General Manager Mike Hawes.
