Assault in Houston leads to ‘significant injuries’

HOUSTON, B.C. — One person suffered what RCMP are calling “signficant injuries” due to an assault at an apartment building in Houston, B.C.

Police say it happened on January 2 with the victim requiring “urgent treatment.”

“Based on information received in the infancy of the investigation, one person was eventually located and taken into custody where they remain pending a bail hearing,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.

She adds the investigation is active and support units are assisting the Houston RCMP as they continue to gather evidence.
