Moccasin flats fire started by “unregulated heating appliance”

PRINCE GEORGE— Thursday afternoon, at around 2:45 p.m. Prince George Fire Rescue responded to an outbuilding fire on Lower Patricia Boulevard.

Two fire halls were dispatched to the fire. Upon arrival crews found an outbuilding approximately four metres by four meteres.

The fire was attacked from Upper Patricia to access to the location and contain the spread of the fire from moving up the hillside.

The fire was quickly contained and no surrounding structure were damaged.

According to PG Fire Rescue the fire was started by an “unregulated heating appliance placed in the structure of origin.”
