Spruce Kings looking for a weekend sweep after beating the Vees

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Spruce Kings welcomed the Penticton Vees last night (Jan. 5) and secured a 7-4 win.

Alexis Cournoyer lead the home team with two goals and two assists. Kazumo Sasaki also scored two goals for Prince George, while Skogen Schrott, Owen Goodbrand and Linden Makow scored one goal each.

Charlie Zolin was the Fortis BC Energy Player of the Game, where he faced 51 shots and made 47 saves for the Spruce Kings.

Next up, the team will try to complete the weekend sweep tonight (Jan. 6) at 6 p.m.
