Cougars wrap up road trip with 4-2 loss in Everett

EVERETT — The Prince George Cougars wrapped up their five-game road trip Sunday with a 4-2 loss to the Everett Silvertips.

Zac Funk scored his 42nd goal of the season in the loss with Hudson Thornton scoring his 10th goal of the year with just over six minutes left in the game to draw the Cougars to within one goal at 3-2.

It wasn’t meant to be though as Everett scored with just over two minutes to play to clinch the win.

The Cougars were outshot by the Silvertips 36-22 and finished their road trip with a 3-2 record.
