PRINCE GEORGE — Tuesday marks the beginning of the 21st annual BC Natural Resources Forum in Prince George.

It is taking place at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre from Tuesday through Thursday and features a keynote speech by British Columbia Premier David Eby Tuesday night (January 16).

Organizers call it the largest natural resource conference in Western Canada that brings First Nations, government and the BC natural resource sector together to foster collaboration and meaningful partnerships.

The theme of this year’s event is “Shaping Tomorrow: BC’s Resource Sector and Future Generations.”

While in town, Premier Eby will be busy as he’s expected to make an announcement at UNBC Tuesday morning alongside Lheidli T’enneh Chief Doleen Logan which the Province says will offer “support for mental-health services for children and youth in British Columbia.”

He’s also scheduled to make another announcement at 1:45 p.m. for the announcement of a hydrogen project that the Province says will create good sustainable jobs and lower emissions. It will take place on PG Pulp Mill Road at the Chemtrade HRS building.

Opposition Leader Kevin Falcon is scheduled to hold a media availability Wednesday morning at the Coast Hotel by APA.
