PRINCE GEORGE — This weekend the City of Prince George will have the privilege of hosting this year’s CNC Regional Championships. Where almost 300 skaters from across Northern BC will come and show off their skills at Kin 1 and Kin 2.
The last time the event was held here it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After a few years of online competitions, it will be the first big figure skating event Prince George has hosted. For skaters, it’s an exciting thought to have it in their hometown. With the venue being in PG, family, and friends can watch routines and support skaters of all ages
This week on the ice, it’s perfecting jumps and routines and putting the finishing touches on their performance. With coaches there to guide the way for many skaters and make sure they’re fully prepared for the weekend when it rolls around.
